Marc Chagall Above the City - Original French Poster

$42.00

The Dictionary of Modern Painting describes Marc Chagall (1887-1985) in all of his prolificness, as an artist whose work “unfolds on several planes.” Gravity holds nobody victim, as the canvases “reveal a pure vision of an absolutely unique inner world, which the artist succeeds in giving it an eternal existence, outside of time.”

This French poster was produced for a Marc Chagall retrospective exhibition at Fondation Maeght in the south of France in 1984. It features Marc Chagall’s painting Au-dessus de la ville (Above the city) alongside exhibition details. Sourced directly from Editions Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France.
